Care Chairs

Design for disability and an aging population needs improvement. This was the idea behind the creation of this new Care Chair. Taking inspiration from the bubble chairs of the 90's, and challenging design conventions to make design more aesthetic.

The sustainability and long term impacts have also been updated. The covers are fastened through zips which enable the covers to be easily removed, washed and then reused again. 

 

The final product was a model of 1:3 size piece which allowed clients to see the products aesthetics and an understanding of the mechanisms and motions that this product includes.
